Generally, four types of pathogens contaminate most of the cell lines. Those, however, include Bacteria, mold/ yeast, virus as well as mycoplasma. Moreover, when cells divide in media, it carries contamination along to the daughter cells.  Additionally, PurMa™ Antibiotic Mix Solution (High Fungicide 25 μg/ml) (100X) contains Amphotericin B which strongly prevents growing of mold.
