Background

Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) is a pH adjusted buffer solution used in biological research.  Moreover, it is a water-soluble blend of ultra pure grade phosphate buffers and saline solutions. additionally, PurMa Biologics manufactures PBS for regular uses as well as for cell culture purposes. This especially applies to protocols requiring use of consistent conditions such as crosslinking, biotinylation and fluorescent labeling reactions. The mentioned applications certainly require an amine-free buffer.

Cell Culture Suited / Endotoxin Depleted Grade Buffer

In our Class 100 Aseptic Facility we Buffer will finally sterilize the buffer by 0.1 µm filter and pack under N2

The Endotoxin Removing Procedure from Buffer

PurMa biologics has the most sophisticated endotoxin removal. For that we pass the buffer  through the PurMaTM Endotoxin Elimination Column (Cat# P6H1216251). Furthermore, in our proprietary column we covalently conjugate Sepharose 6B   to an endotoxin-specific absorbent. we finally  eliminate the residual endotoxin by passing the unbound fraction three times through 0.1µm filters.

General Feature

  • PurMa Biologics manufactures this buffer in two pH: 7.4 ± 0.01 and 7.2 ± 0.01 at 25°C.
  • We rigorously sterilize it by 0.22µm membrane.
  • Additionally, it is a cost-effective balanced salt solution used for a variety of biochemical applications.
  • PurMa Biologics packs all our buffer under N2, as a result, the pH wont change over the time before opening the bottle.
